Cover Margins

Note that when designing a cover that will be "perfect bound" (softcover, glued) that there will be a crease 10mm in from the edge where the top page is glued to the cover. Most of the guides talk about the bleed on the outside edge, but somehow I and my cover designer missed this note about the edge along the spine. Happily, our fix was pretty simple. The text & character could be scaled down just a bit without negatively affecting the overall balance of the cover. Also happily: I prefer the re-sized cover. There's a little more breathing room, more sunshine.

The cover design is by the amazingly talented Rich Black
