Today I Made Cookies

There are some days when everything goes according to plan, your mind is clear, and you go to bed feeling accomplished.

And there are some days when plans feel sideswiped and your brain is foggy and the third cup of coffee isn’t making a dent and despite the little voice in your head saying, “No!” you grab the cookie dough you thoughtfully made and froze last month and pop some into the oven and you to bite into that warm gooey sweetness with a big grin and say thank you to your past self for planning ahead.

Today belonged to the latter category.

Tomorrow is another day.
